The Paleo Diet for Vegetarians

Jay and Martha, our son and daughter-in-law, are following the Paleo Diet, and with excellent results.  As a vegetarian, what I like best about this plan is that the meats you eat are grass fed, free range and all organic.  The reason we find this so important is that a huge part (but not the only reason) we no longer eat meat is because it is a fact that most of the meat you purchase from your grocery store is pumped up with hormones to make the animal bigger, faster and then with antibiotics to keep them alive long enough to reach optimal slaughter size (which by the way, is a much shorter time frame because of the rapid growth from the hormones).  We want to live long, happy, healthy lives and therefore have no interest in putting anything that unhealthy in our bodies.  I could go on and on, but I know as you're reading this, you're probably hearing "blah, blah, blah, blah".  I know I would!  However, if you have any interest in eating a healthier diet but are not interested in giving up meat, please consider doing your own research to find out how and where to purchase the "good stuff".  Martha would be happy to answer any questions you might have, as well.

Anyway, back to the Paleo Diet: Martha just shared an article in response to a friend who inquired if it is possible for a vegetarian to follow the Paleo Diet.  Really, the answer is "no", but this still is a great article.  And Judd is a huge fan of The No-Meat Athlete, to boot.  So check it out:  The Paleo Diet for Vegetarians.
